Marble Everlast recommend a natural penetrating sealer to be used on the most porous of Natural Stones such as Marble. Our team are efficiently trained in preparing and apply our premium grade sealers to you stone surface. All natural stone is typically porous in nature and any tile that does not have a protective barrier to prevent moisture from seeping through will be susceptible to damage. Marble, Travertine and Limestone are the most common forms of a Stone Shower. It just so happens that these materials are the most porous of Stone and Sealing is highly recommended. Harder stones that are more impervious to damage is granite but still susceptible to a degree of it. Sealing would only add more protection and peace of mind.

TWO types of sealers we use in Shower areas and Bathrooms
1. Water-based Penetrating Sealer – There are numerous brands of these sealers on the market. The premium grade are known to have longer lasting properties and can come with a manufacturer warranty
2. Oil-based Penetrating Sealer – These sealers typically darken a surface and add greater colour vibrance.

It is important to know the use of different sealers and their reaction to all different materials of Natural Stone. Some sealers are not suited for certain materials and incorrect applications can cause more problems. Things to consider…
Prior to Shower Sealing, it is important to consider whether your Shower is in good condition before any Sealing treatment can be considered. If a shower is in bad condition then Sealing will not make the Shower look any better or be of any effect. Our team will determine if your shower requires polishing or joining to provide a surface that is smoothly consistent and primed for a sealing application. We will also determine whether you require any grout repairs or silicone replacement.
